All I wanted when I was pregnant was to feel comfortable, because I was already so uncomfortable waddling around with my big ol belly. I searched and purchased a lot of different maternity clothes, and sometimes I was so unhappy with the fit and feel of the outfit. Lucky for you, I have a bunch of great options below to help you on your journey through pregnancy and beyond.
I put together a list of clothes I bought from Amazon that I absolutely loved, felt comfortable in, and even wore after pregnancy!

Here are 4 different articles of clothing that are a must for you lovely mamas:
- Tops
- Bottoms
- Dresses
- Nursing Bras
Tops
I don’t know about you, but I always went for the loose, baby doll tops. Stylish, classic, and with 25 different prints and colors to choose from, these tops were so comfortable for every day wear. My mom, being the amazing woman that she is, gifted me some super cute work tops from Motherhood, but towards the end of my pregnancy I just wanted something loose and comfortable.
Are you pregnant AND breastfeeding your little one? A maternity shirt that functions as both cute, comfy and practical is a must. I love how this top accentuates your bump, and the material at the breast is easy to pull down to feed your baby. It’s a win win!
Bottoms
I feel like these jeans get a bad rep, and maybe they are a little tacky, but once I got my first pair of maternity jeans I was in heaven. Bye bye hair ties around your pant button and belt loop. Anything from Motherhood is a reasonably priced and comfortable jean, and these pair were the perfect length for me (I’m 5’2”)
Leggings, oh sweet leggings. Believe it or not, I purchased a lot of non-maternity leggings before my bump was too big. The picture above is my absolute favorite pair of amazon leggings, and they were usually sold out. Here is another pair of leggings I wore when the first option wasn’t available. I wear these after little O was born, and you best believe I’m going to order all the colors eventually.
Once I was too round to fit in regular leggings, I finally gave in and bought some actual maternity leggings. Loved the pockets on these, because who wants to be bending down 8 months pregnant anyways?
Dresses
Oh my gosh, I WISH I got this dress for a maternity photo shoot. I’m not really the photo shoot kind of gal, but I think I’m going to have to buy this dress for my next pregnancy.
This is a dress I actually bought, and it was so soft and comfortable. My due date was in July, so I wanted the lightest, most comfortable dress to wear. It comes in many different colors or cute floral prints, and has pockets! Grab them while they’re available.
Bras and Tank Tops
Now I know you usually don’t start thinking about nursing bras and tank tops while you’re pregnant, but I made the mistake on not buying ANY bras until Little O was here. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime. These bras are basic, no wire, easy snap, and adjustable. And come in a pack of 5, nice!
If you’re looking for extra comfort, these bras are it. No clasps, no adjusting the straps, no plastic hooks that sometimes fall off, just joy. I love the cotton material and easy pull down access to feed baby. I still wear these bras after my breastfeeding / pumping journey because they are that comfortable!
And that’s it. Nothing too crazy, right? All I looked for in clothes was comfort, and feeling comfortable made me feel good. And feeling good helped me get ready for when baby arrived.
